Testing Our Life Jackets

After a quick tidy up, we tested our life jackets in the water tray. Miss Fraser timed each jacket's floating time using her phone timer. 11 out of 12 life jackets were successful! We definitely have many engineers in our class! Well done! Great teamwork and growth mindset!

Life Jacket STEM Challenge

Primary 4/5 joined us this afternoon to complete a Titanic themed STEM challenge. The children had to use the provided resources to make a life jacket for a 300g tin of food. This life jacket had to help the tin stay afloat in water for one minute.

Morse Code

We have been learning about the ways in which passengers kept in contact with their family and friends when sailing on the Titanic. We had a shot decoding Morse code messages and creating our own.
